How I write, is mine…How you read, is yours

~ Most of us feel it, some don't. Some of us say it, some don't. Some may agree, some won't. Be as it may, the facts still remain.

What the trees so strong
Could not feel
Was a touch so wrong
That made her keel

What the breeze that blew
Could not know
Was a chill that grew
Behind that door

What the birds that chirped
Could not hear
Was a soul usurped
By bouts of fear

What the sunlit yard
Could not smell
Was a heart too charred
To lose or sell

What the tongues of cold
Could not taste
Was the bitter mold
On hatred’s waste

What the whites outside
Could not see
Was the red inside
Spilt by her tea

T’was just another eve
A shadowy mesh grew on this sieve
The sun now eased its glow
And it soon began to snow

Then on a cobblestone street
As I walked my lazy feet…

With your platinum shine
Oh so crystalline
You drifted up to me
Just so I could see
You glided on my lash
Swung, then made a dash
And pecked me on my nose
I turned an icy rose
As if to say I love you
A soft kiss to me you blew
Very soon my heart you felt
In its warmth, you had to melt

And in the blink of an eye
I watched you dissolve and drip by
But your spirit still stays alive
And in it, I hope to dive

This evening that made me heave
Was certainly not just another eve

An afternoon not wasted, Magpie Tales, Recreation, Ski, Sled, Sledge, Sleigh, Snow, Winter

An afternoon of white
Mountains wrapped in snow
We had nowhere to go
It left us in a plight

But that wasn’t a reason
To hate this lovely season
So armed in winter gear
We stepped out without a fear

Grunting, huffing, panting
We got up to the peak
Our legs feeling too weak
By now, we were ranting

But just one look below
No sooner did we know
Color and strength regained
And happily we sailed…

DOWN

DOWN
DOWN
