How I write, is mine…How you read, is yours

~ Most of us feel it, some don't. Some of us say it, some don't. Some may agree, some won't. Be as it may, the facts still remain.

Chronic
Ebullience
Lilting appeal
Enamored awe
Begs music’s throb
Rise in an ecstatic fever
Assuaging pain like a sonata
Triumph over each win and defeat
Illuminations all around extended radii
Over and above, where one sees a magic halo
New year’s ’round the corner. Enjoy and have fun
Sing to the times ahead. Soak up some joy, partake in bliss

*This Double acrostic posted for Poetry Potluck (Celebrations and Festivities) and Nimue’s Months Of The Year Challenge (December)!! *

**I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my readers and Jingle for these lovely awards at the Thursday Poets Rally! Without you, none of this would ever be possible… **

Festive is the mood
Crackers bursting, smiles floating
Not the time to brood

Aromas adrift
Tastebuds tickled by sweet treats
All senses too swift

Celebrating life
Joys and cheers spread across
Forgotten is strife

Earthen lamps flicker
Lining doors and windows tall
Stars indoors glitter

Glowing completely
Homes, bodies and hearts alike
Happy Diwali!

**A 55-word (Haiku’d up!) late entry for Thursday Poets Rally!! 🙂 **

*** For those absolutely clueless on what Diwali is all about, well, it is THE festival for Hindus, as far as I know! It’s also called the Festival of Lights. It is a 5-day festival, each day having its own significance ofcourse. It has a whole lot of mythological/historical background to it. But when I think of Diwali, I can think of extensive house cleaning (ugghh), decorating the entire house with ornate teensy mud lamps (Diwa of Diwali = a row of lights), buying and wearing new clothes (yaayy!), and distributing AND consuming lots of sweets/goodies (yummyy)! And last but definitely not the least, to those insensitive to smoke and noise (count me out!), Diwali is ALL about bursting crackers (tons of ’em)! ***

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

100 words, 100th post, A word of thanks, Celebration, Commemoration, Milestone, Thursday Poets Rally Week 24

I crossed ten, I didn’t care
Then came twenty, and made me swear
Thirty got me thinking I had a flair
When forty arrived, I became aware
At fifty I said, I shan’t spare
Sixty flew by, that’s not fair!
Seventy was crazy, pulling out my hair
With eighty, I sped, almost like a hare
After ninety, I soared high in the air
At my hundredth, I sit proudly on my chair
Wondering aloud, how did I fare?
A soft voice replies, “better than fair”
So I thank all, for helping me dare
Your kind comments urging me to share

*As this is my 100th post on WordPress, I thought of commemorating this milestone with a poem having exactly 100 words in it :)*

LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!!
