Kavita (my name) = a poem (in Hindi and a few other Indian languages).
But no, I am not really trying to live up to it, or give any meaning to it. After all, what’s in a name, except maybe some form of identity.
I practically live in my dreams. “Huh??” you wonder. “True” I say.
That’s pretty much my story. A blur of events, with intermittent long lapses of lull. But isn’t that everyone else’s too? So yes, I am as much me as I am you.
Hence, as you read through my posts, don’t wonder. For you you could just as well be thinking them, or have thought of them already, or will think them some time later.
Mine is just an attempt to catch my thoughts before they jump out of my mind as they cross it, and decide to never come again! Mine is just a medium to know me as I was, by way of my thinkings, in case I am to ever lose my memory. Which is why I have and still am passing this link on to friends and dear ones, so that they can direct me to this site if such a day ever finds its way in my life.
And so I try…

So far I have been reading and writting on human bodies. I never found myself getting involved in poetry. When I recently started writting on computer, I came accross you at a random surfing. I read one after another, till I was intrupted by an emergency. I opened your site again today to find you indulging with ‘Fan’ I was taking a poetic meaning of fan, till I found that you are creating a fantasy in reality.
Enjoyed the piece.

That’s very kind of you, Doctor… I am very happy to see that you found my work interesting! In fact, I feel honored!!!
Human body is such a beautiful masterpiece by itself, that I feel you being a surgeon, will be able to make poetry on this theme!!! I would love to read what you write…
Once again, thanks for your inspiring words… they are most appreciated!
Have a beautiful day!

Sure thing, doctor… have opened the page…will read it in a bit..
Thanks for sharing the link!
My writing articles is usually in prose form, but when I sometimes get moody, emotional and philosophical I write in poetic style. One of such article is ‘Risk to Live Success’published in my blog Yoga and spirituality quoted below:
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To try is to risk failure,
To hope is to risk despair,
To live is to risk dying.
But risk must be taken,
Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person, who risks nothing, does nothing,
Has nothing, is nothing and becomes nothing.
They may avoid suffering & sorrow,
But they can not learn, feel, change, grow, love or live.
Chained by their certitude,
They are slaves, they have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is truly free.
This was lovely, doctor!!! I am in total agreement with every word you’ve written!
It’s very insightful and inspiring…thank you so much for sharing it with me…
Your poetry is brilliant! You should write poems more often (by that, I don’t mean that you should get moody more often :))
Have a great week ahead!
I would like to request you to read my article SHIRDI SAI:The Spiritual Guru written in poetic style published in Yoga and Spirituality and post your valuable comment under the article in my blogsite yoganspirituality.wordpress.com.

Oh.. It’s very kind of you to say that, Balu.. Thank you so much!! I am honored and flattered..really! It’s great to know that you enjoyed reading whatever you read here, on my blog.. I just write what comes to my mind (with a little rhyme to it ofcourse :)).. Mostly, they are random thoughts or feelings.. sometimes they may be a result of a prompt of some kind.. Either ways, it’s what comes to mind that comes on paper (in this case, webpage)… I am glad you liked it..
And yes, Robert’s Haikus are an absolute delight to read… so very thought provoking and insightful!
Kavita! I don’t know you, but I like you very much, your writing is great, and your about page portrays someone I would get along with very well. Keep writing and keep true, nothing is better. You have an amazing writing style and a great flow to your words, they seem to come naturally.
Kudos to you!

Hi Kavita.. I followed you here through your comment on Kenny’s (Kolembo) blog and was hooked by the first piece I read. I’m not a writer or a poet.. I find it easier to play with pictures but love poetry and fascinated by the inter relation between poetry and photogrpahy..that both are open to interpretation.. Have subscribed to your blog..look forward to reading more!
Gee… Dhaami, I am flattered!! And I am very glad you liked what you’ve read here so far … Poetry and photography are indeed such lovely forms of expression (or so I think).. at least for me. And to know that someone else too appreciates it so much, really makes me very happy!!

Today I read the About Me section!
Wonder- what hit me to! I already knew that part- you had shared that sometime back..
Did you notice how your words were in a form free verse? Not exactly rhyming but very much poetic 🙂 You could very well break the statements to produce a poetry..
May you never see a day where you would have to be directed to your blog..

Hmm … am glad I discovered your blog. Very thought provoking, really inspiring, the kid in me says I wanna write like her when I grow up, and what else can I say, am not really good at this. But let me quote what you wrote, “Mine is just an attempt to catch my thoughts before they jump out of my mind as they cross it, and decide to never come again! Mine is just a medium to know me as I was, by way of my thinkings, in case I am to ever lose my memory. Which is why I have and still am passing this link on to friends and dear ones, so that they can direct me to this site if such a day ever finds its way in my life.” … I see me there, hidden in those beautifully constructed sentences.
Am enjoying your entry, will add you to my blogroll and subscribe to your blog so I won’t miss a single entry. When you get a chance visit mine. 🙂
Cheers,
Let me add also that the subtitle on your blog–“how I write, is mine … How your read, is yours”– is bloody brilliant! 😀
lol.. glad you liked THAT! Well, it certainly is an attempt at expressing how I feel anyway… interpretation is an entirely different ballgame.. isn’t it?! 😀
Wowwiiezz!! Seriously! How could WordPress spam THIS one?! If it were up to me, I would highlight this one in BOLD on my blog… thank you soooo much – for everything – for the sweet sweeet words, for adding me to your blogroll and for subscribing to my blog… I am humbled, really!
And right now, I am off to visit you.. at your blog! 🙂
Love n Hugs!
I sent u a msg, but they went to your spam list?? … anyway, I was just saying i enjoyed your blog. cheers,
Hi… guess what? Your message had indeed gone into my spam list? Grrrr!!! WordPress can go crazy at times… whew! Anyway, I have unspammed it now…
And THANKS A HEAP for your most encouraging words here, Elyas… I am thrilled, AND honored!!
(hugs)
Yes, wordpress can act up weird. 🙂 I often check my spam list, since I find comments that shouldn’t be there. 😀 It’s usually easy to spot the spam from the real comments … am glad you looked into it … I was wondering lol ..
btw the pleasure is mine … I really enjoy your writings! only if i could write like you! 😀
Keep at it!!! I will visit often!
Cheers,
Likewise!!! Will be hoarding your blog with comments fom now on.. :-))
