In this universe
drizzled with black and white
My mind twirls unsteadily
– lost–
Looking for something
– someone –
A tap on the shoulder perhaps…
But all I see
is a maze before me
spiraling inwards
Dotted with mixed emotion
I continue to fumble
– watery eyed –
Hoping for a green patch
A straighter path perhaps…
But all I keep finding
is point after red point
like stains of my wasted blood…

Beautiful writing, but it truly leaves me sad.
Kavita said:
Awww…don’t be sad, my dear friend… Poetry is a very nice way of washing your hands off that sadness, don’t you think ? 🙂
But I truly am very happy and honored that you liked this poem….thank you so much..

Your image, and Your script! And BOTH worthy, good! I appreciate a good ‘downer’ once in a wile, especially if I’m NOT down–and I’m pretty sure the writer is not also.Since I have known depression (maybe you also?) I see you know what you writing about.
SHORT AND SWEET! Thank you.
PEACE!
Kavita said:
Thanks a heap, Steve !!! I really appreciate your insights here..
And yes, you are quite right about the not being down while writing this bit.. 🙂 It was quite the opposite for me really… But I guess pain holds a fascination that a poet/writer cannot ignore.. What say ?! 😉
I am glad you liked this short piece….thanks again…

Absolutely!
There you go…magic from nothing. Suddenly nothing transforms to beauty.
There’s an integrity to the whole piece that’s astonishing.
It’s lovely to come back and read you again.
Lovely.
