**Posted for the grand opening of dVersePoets – a place for poets, poems and their friends :)**
Kavita…..I like , but I have to think more on this. probably too deep for this cotton-wool mind today.
Hugs,
Lady Nyo
hhehehhe… cotton-wool, and YOUR mind?? Now this, I just cannot digest, Lady Nyo 🙂
But thanks anyway… 🙂
Through the hourglass of your versatile verses
Drip such amazingly wonderful words
That eternity surely sets in 🙂
Wonderful use of form Kavita!
Whoooaaa!! You associated my poem to eternity… whewww… I take that as a compliment, Umesh 😀
Thank you so much….
the hourglass shape really brings the words to life. sort of a lil gateway to the meaning. love!
Thanks for the appreciative words, Anthony… they’re priceless!
Love those last two lines, they just have such deep meaning. We don’t know what we want until eternity beckons. Least that’s what I thought off..haha, wonderfully written.
That’s EXACTLY what I had in mind too, Patt!! Thank you so much for interpreting it the way I had intended it to be!
We are so submerged in our past and memories, that by the time we realize we are sucked into a no-coming-back zone, it migt just be a tad too late… whewww…
‘Unfrozen memories’…soft wow…you have a great way with words. 🙂 // Peter.
hehehhe…thanks, Peter! I had initially thought of using “thawed”, but eventually ended up using “unfrozen” 😀 .. Glad you liked it here…
Until one pink morn
a faint realization dawns
while eternity has set in
I love this, the form imbues the poem with intrigue and meaning.
Gee.. thanks, Anna! You are very kind… 🙂
(hugs)
The passage of time goes unnoticed until such time that we realize we are closer to eternity than we thought…a process that most go through at some point in life…love the hourglass shape.
Indeed, Charles… we have this tendency to wait and watch… till it’s a tad too late.. (sigh)
I hope we learn sooner than that 🙂
Thanks for the kind words of appreciation, my friend…
At some point in time, mostly as we age and we realise our lives really won’t last forever, then, we begin to realise what truly matters most, hopefull, before its too late for us to do anything about it.
A lovely write from you and a lovely read for us.
Well said, Daydreamer! Realization sometimes comes pretty late to us… I hope we learn to “cope” earlier on… and be smart enough to grasp the situation as it is!
Thank you so much for your insightful and kind words here, my friend..
nice…you did a great job on the concrete form…and yes it adds to the verse which is tightly spun…here is to enjoying now and eternity…thank you kavita!
Thanks, Brian!!
Best luck on yet another wonderful journey here at dVersePoets! Cheers! 🙂
I could feel the pull of the vortex. You’ve literally “sculpted” a beautiful piece of art.
Ooohh…thank you so much, Victoria dear! Your comments here are most appreciated!
just amazing what a shape you give to time… at dawn… through your eyes. B E A U T I F U L !!!!
Awww… you live up to your name, Dulce…. 🙂 Thank you so much fro the kind and lovely words!!
xoxooxoxox
wonderful visual piece and the content matches perfectly.. I felt myself getting sucked into a thin spiral as I read down. Like this mucho
Hey! New beginnings! It’s rockin’!
Gee.. thanks, Lukey! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed this one… and wait, don’t get absorbed into the vortex… lemme pull you out! 🙂
Here you let form add to your thoughts. It’s true that there is a convergence of events in our lives and only when they slip out of the present into the other side of infinity on its side, can we observe them separately and discretely. Well written here, Kavita. Thank you.
Your thoughts and comments here are much appreciated, dear Gay.. thank you sooooooooooooo much!
What a beautiful way of putting “timelessness”. The hourglass shape is perfect too, of course. 🙂
Woohooooo!! Thank you so much, dear Gayle…. you are such a sweetheart, my friend…
xoxoxoox
.. love how you’ve embodied this, Kavita…will be back for sure
Gee.. thanks you, Becky… I am honored!!
ha this is cool – feels just like a time bubble bath..and the bubbles go up and down and mingle in a new way…and the journey goes on…cool to see you at dVerse Kavita
ooohh…bubbles… 🙂 Oh yea, Claudia! Bubbles of times.. that’s where we find ourselves often floating… no? 🙂
Well well… hope this new journey at dVersePoets is just as lovely!!
Love n Hugs!! 🙂
You are so shapely, my dear Kavita. ;_) You do it so seemingly effortlessly, too–this is a nice subtle, yet very clear little gem. So psyched you’re with us for the opening!
hahahahaha… that read beautifully, Joy dear! 😉 Made me feel real nice about this poem..
Thank you so much, sweetie..
And best wishes on this new journey!!
MWAH!!! 😀
I enjoyed reading your poem all the way thru…great choice of words and visual presentation.
.☮ ♥ Siggi in beautiful Downeast Maine
Oh dear…. thank you so much, Siggi!! I am glad you enjoyed this read…. yaaaaaaaaaaaayyy!!
The Visual presentation only supplements the beauty of this poem! A great write!
Whooooaa!! Thank you so much, Percy!! It really very kind and generous of you to say that!!!
I really liked this form poem! It goes well with the image and such wise words in what you’ve written! 🙂 Nicely done. P.S. I love that you used the word “torque” in this – it’s such a great word and you almost never see it!
Yaaayyy!!! Glad you liked the word usage here, my friend… I really appreciate your comments!!! Thank you so much, dearie….
I am now spinning, as if torque were exerted on me!!! 😉
lovely poem, Kavita.
Thank you, Ayala … 🙂
Kavita is this death?
Bingo!!!! Among other things, yes, it is indeed death 🙂
“unfrozen memories
I observe them drip”
love this. yummers.
Wowwiieezzz!!! Thanks, lovely Evelyn!!!! 🙂
“while eternity has set in” I think we are all waiting for eternity to set in….but I do not believe we meet death. I believe eternity is a new beginning or continuation ♥ Enjoyed this!
Well said, Helena! Eternity should ideally mean a new beginning, an unknown start… death is just one of the possibilities… again, not so scary 🙂
Glad you enjoyed this read, dear… thanks for your appreciative feedback here…
wow, sounds supernatural to me….mystical for sure. great one, Kavita.
hahahha… supernatural? Really? 🙂 Mystical.. hmm… sounds nice enough to me.. 🙂
Thanks, Sheila …
Admittedly I lived so many years with very little thought of the hereafter–eternity. My eternity was each moment. At my present age, I do ponder the next entity of life, and that it could be one continuing process. (But I do not in ANY way fear it.)
After all, I suppose my eternity is STILL each moment lived! Thank you for such pleasantly placed thought-provoking words, Kavita!
WOW!! I think that’s the best way to live, Steve… by saying eternity is the NOW, and living it to the fullest! That’s awesome!! What comes later will come the way it does… we do not know of it… all we can control is the NOW… what say? 🙂
Thank you so much for your insightful and inspiring words here, my friend… it added a lot of substance to my poem here… I am honored!
This is cool!
I like it… plenty to think about…
Great combination of form and words… dancing into eternity.
Very cool that you were able to blend the visual in. I especially liked,
“I observe them drip
timidly slip
into
a
pale
translucence”
Nicely done 🙂
I so love the way you did this kavita. Form following words–stunning. Thank you.
Your visuals once again blow me away. great words
Love the feeling of slipping through a time piece to the other side….nice to see you at d’Verse…it is going to be a great site…blessings…bkm
Kavita, loved the hourglass configuration and the words, “a pale translucence on the other side.” This is beautiful, and noticed you were number 5 at dverse! Congrats – are you one of the conspirators on that site? Amy
hahahahaha… nooooooooooooo, Amy… I am not one of the conspirators at the pub.. I am an eager participant! 😀
Coming back to the poem, thanks dearie… you are always so encouraging and I really thank you for being so… I am glad you liked the shape and meaning of this poem….
Wow!!!! Kavita .. this is so amazing.. .. loved it through and through … enjoyed it thoroughly
thank you soooo much, Divya dear… you are really sweet!
Very nice piece, Kavita. Seems we both wrote about looking at life from the
perspective of memory and experience. I agree, the shape lends to the message.
Wowww… there’s something very appealing about memories.. no? I am glad you liked this piece, Joe.. thank you so much for your kind words here…
Cool shape poem! I’m feeling a little tilted.
hehehhee… straighten up, girl!! 🙂 Thanks anyway….
Torque twisting something up, or an hour glass showing time to eternity? Wonderfully done, as always – the arrangement of words always fascinates me!
And I am always humbled by your kind words and immense appreciation shown towards my work, JP… can’t thank you enough for that!!
Much love…
Fabulous–this is great work–I liked its structure
Gee.. thank you, my dear… so sweet of you!
wow, that form just sucks me right into it, nicely done 🙂
🙂 Thanks, Harish…. as long as you emerged contented and pleased, I am glad 🙂
perfectly shaped poem,
keep it up.
let me know if you decide to accept the perfect poet award from the post …on week 48.
thanks for being part of poets rally on week 48.
keep up the excellence.
I do accept the award, Jingle, and will put it up AT THE EARLIEST! 🙂 Am a little slack on blogging these days…
Thank you so much for the kind consideration, and the reminder too! I totally needed that !
Lovely piece Kavita – it’s been a joy to watch you grow as a wordsmith
Aww… the pleasure is all mine, Moonie darling.. thank YOU for everything!!
Love ya, babes!!
dear kavita,
i think this is a perfect poem. beautiful form and deep in meaning. i love the last lines and it made me bask in hope of the new morning
“a
pale
translucence
on the other side
Until one pink morn
a faint realization dawns
while eternity has set in”
that kind of realization that life has to go on and allow new life experiences to come through the new days. i’m simply at awe.
“I observe them drip
timidly slip” love that.
At least your watching where the time does go.
Ohhh yea, DarkAngel.. I do watch it drip/slip by.. 🙂 But I guess I am a tad too lazy to do much about it.. heheh
