Ten aeons
Nine dreams
Eight notes
Seven seas
Six degrees
Five senses
Four knocks
Three sighs
Two hearts
But only one breath
To say I love you…
And while a shy moonbeam
caresses my windowsill,
I am still lying in wait
for that one breath
from your lips
meant only
for my
skin
**Written for One Shot Wednesday (week 46)… Check out this wonderland of poetry… and ENJOY!!! 🙂 **

With good wishes and nice words from awesome poets like yourself, this certainly has been a great ride for me, Joy.. thanks fro everything! 😀
i thought the intense longing for spoken confirmation of love was a little sad, that it has been withheld i suppose is where the sadness came in… hope that makes sense 🙂
heheheh…yes, it des make a lot of sense, Lori.. I guess longing is always sad… but when it is met by that one word we are sooo waiting for, we feel it was all worth it.. what say?! 🙂
“I am still lying in wait

from your lips
meant only
for my
skin”
Kavita, your countdown is stunning, sensuous and exciting…and that does indeed leave me with one breath, and that one has now been rendered breathlesss! Beautifully done, my friend…but pf course, your poems always are just that…beautifully sculptered, with care.

As is always the case Kavita, you have caused a stirring within my heart that is soothing, like quiet waters stirred and warm. Your poetry is so filled with inspiration and I love the ending, the romance, the touch softer than soft.
