Now that is impressive combining a 160 to also fit 2 other challenges, including haiku. As for the poem, nice mixing of senses and seasons within the two stanzas. Thanks for playing along today, Kavita 🙂
Kavita said:
hahah.. I think I went overboard here, Adam… but in my warped mind, I saw how this poem fit in for Sean’s amazing picture and for the other memes.. So I just couldn’t stop myself from putting it up for the One Shoot Challenge 🙂
Glad you liked how I did it, AD… thanks for the encouragement, my friend…

Kavita said:
Yaaayyyy.. thanks a ton, Cheryl!! SO happy to see that you liked the pix-poem combination!! It was kinda tough combining it all and still trying to make sense… so seeing you appreciate it all made me very very nice about it!

I had to read this out loud! It feels delectable on the tongue. thank you for your kind words about my recent submission. The best part of that poem is that my sister is alive and well many years later.
Kavita said:
OH WOWW!! It’s SO GOOD to hear that, Lisa!! May your sister enjoy a beautiful and loooong life…. and may the two of you make and share many more memories together!
And thank you for your utterly sweet words for my poem… hehehe… seeing the good thing about your sister makes me DOUBLY happy about this comment, my dear….
Many hugs to you!!

Love the imagery. I know it ruins the haiku but if you take out the two “likes,” it becomes a much more powerful poem, I think. (Just a thought).
Kavita said:
Yea… so true, CJ… and I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks a ton, my friend…
Will keep the two ‘likes’ for now… esp. cuz I am linking in this poem as part of a Haiku challenge too 🙂 But I will def. bear in mind your words about the effects, for the next time…
Thanks again, my friend…

Mary said:
I like your imagery. Do you have any thing about love with summer and winter too? I could see 4 stanzas with all the seasons.
Kavita said:
I wish I weren’t restricted by the character limit, Mary…else I would’ve written on Summer/Winter too 🙂
But then on second thought, Fall/Spring are much more subtle and gentle as compared to Summer/Winter.. hehhee
Glad you enjoyed this one, my dear… and thanks a bunch for your sweet comments 🙂
Bodhirose said:
How clever you managed to include a 160 and haiku together, Kavita–so creative. Your poem made me think that love is all pervasive in all ways possible. Thank you!
Kavita said:
hehe.. you know what! I think it’s my laziness and my desire to wanna participate in these 4 memes that got these words/lines out of me… and I am so glad you liked them, B… thank you for your kind words of appreciation and encouragement! It’s INVALUABLE to me!!
