Blowing cool air
Throwing a stare
Giving me the scare
It ain’t fair
Me waiting in despair
While sleep, I spare
My fan and I; What a pair!
*I was thinking of what to write for the Sunday 160 VERY LATE last night… and in my otherwise silent room, I heard a hum… It wasn’t my noisefree A/C.. It was my FAN! And there! I knew what to write about… :)*
**Posted for Sunday 160 hosted by Monkey Man! Check out what the other writers had to say in 160 characters… This place is a COOL melting pot of creative juices!! :)**

Inspiration comes in many guises. But I have been scared out of my wits in the dark of night by the fat-headed guy standing at the foot of the bed, humming, so I can see how you found yours.
Kavita said:
I hear you, Patti!! 🙂 It was like my fan was screaming to me to write about him! I simply HAD TO! But then I am glad he inspired me… sometimes, the oddest of objects/feelings/emotions can be the most amazing muses 🙂
OH I LOVE POETRY !!
Hope you enjoyed this bit though… And thank you so much for appreciating my work… your comments are invaluable!
Have a gorgeous week ahead!

Yes to your comment above, you first have to think like a “muse” in order to ‘hear’ the song being sung. but no problem here you are gently inspired — a muse – a poet, a delight.
Lovely 160,
Joanny
Kavita said:
Aww..thank you so much for your kind words, Joanny! I am delighted by your comments!! I really value your appreciation towards my work…
This 160 really came out of the blue! Just a bit of frustrated staring at the fan did it! 🙂 But no complaints at all.. Besides, I cannot really sleep without the hum of that fan anyway 🙂

Dr. Madan Goyal said:
Are you sure that you were writting about electric fan and not a fan in your dreams.
Art, poetry and words have confusing meaning for science students.
I read a few of your creations. These aroused interest in me for poetry, in an otherwise non artistic surgeon.
Keep it up
Dr. Madan Goyal
Kavita said:
hehehe… Thanks for your kind and encouraging words, Dr. Goyal… Yes, I was indeed writing about a real fan, and it was not a dream 🙂
I desperately wanted to write something that night, but was experiencing a writer’s block… and while fretting over this fact, I was just staring at my fan, and it was staring back! And there!! The writer’s block vanished 🙂
I am very glad you enjoyed this piece… And I sincerely hope you enjoy writing as well… it will be a very relaxing break from your already amazing work!
Surgery, I believe is an art by itself (it’s much more than science anyway… it’s a lovely mind-hand coordination, that only talented persons such as yourself, can achieve).. Being a science, math and business student myself, I personally feel the closeness of art and science… it’s brilliant!!!
Happy writing, and have a great and fruitful week ahead!
